Weekend Wonders: North Cascades

Seattle is a great place to live without car since it is really easy to get around the city with public transit and Lyft/Uber. I’m so happy that they are expanding the Link light rail; it will help a bunch of people if it continues to grow. Getting out into the mountains, however, can be a challenge if friends with cars aren’t planning a trip or schedules don’t line up. That’s why when my dad visited us a couple weeks ago we made sure to take advantage of the car he rented for the weekend.

We had yet to make it out to the North Cascades, a portion of the Cascades mountain range east of Seattle that extends into Canada. It was well worth the wait. I hope you enjoy these pictures that we took during our hike to Ann Lake and Rainy Lake!

I still say a car is an evil thing, but it sure came in handy that day. What fun we had!
